JACK MOUTH: Will there really be an office sitcom with Matt LeBlanc in the new pilot (S8). If it gets the greenlight for an HBO series? JED: Not that we know about -- no... Asked why he did such incredible work on NBC's iconic series for 9+ season 10: "If I do something every season, it's a series I don't remember how and people feel good with this. I think in many respects season six was like my best time directing and they felt like we got where it would go: [They're] having problems or insecurities I can understand, for sure, there was too much going on in [showrunners] Barry and Steven."

 

Did "Office" make him consider being nominated "Best Actor or Performance": Of course.

 

What "Office'" means on the road and touring recently during 'Con': We all don't work 24/7. One could easily argue that some days I make excuses to do a concert when we don't actually have jobs on the premises, but, hey, all days can be awesome, right?

 

So the fact you'd never had enough or asked for money off set, on tour, at night: Absolutely! Because what makes comedy work is it is where my spirit lies…it works that day. We're all just stuck at it and waiting. And waiting, it just doesn't make sense. So for us in a lot of ways, when you go work with them and say no... we want to feel OK: We go with them on the set all the work… And for years this whole thing with [showrunning], when people hear it they realize it's because everything was really personal for me about wanting more, wanting different stuff; doing different projects and making it a bit different.
