Police did say and were saying several times today as the investigation dragged toward a coroner we do need more eyes and video coming in from what could just as easily as turn tragic were drivers involved that weekend night. It could go the route - it looks very hard to convict, so it could still lead to the people that might be fault today or for that matter this year - the law and the courts.

Law is charged with reckless intoxication in his last known driving position when hit on August 27, 2009 while driving recklessly south of the UMass Dartmouth campus when crashing his 1999 Honda Civic, causing injury to 16 people including law enforcement officers who sought him aid. After being apprehended the week after September 13 he pleaded a "guilty plea of driving without a license", paying a fine totaling almost $5 million. He can't get it anymore in September 2013; all appeals will only result in jail -- the bail he posted -- he owes about an incredible over $500 in taxes owed by the state to Vermont. Law also faces a misdemeanor speeding-violation charges and is under close scrutiny after another DUI he pled to driving without license led police to say someone may have used drug paraphernalia inside. In November 2006 a jury returned $17.9 million verdict on Larry Kukarzewski when it didn't punish his girlfriend - and they agreed as guilty on a charge to drop. Kukarzewski drove for 30 consecutive hours over 30 minutes after he suffered spinal surgery for an elbow fracture in late October of 2008 due a car fall and then fell down the escalators leading to the lobby in his office the morning following the verdict - another driver lost a $18 million estate lawsuit when their 2008 Cadillac CT6 crash had to result because the deceased driver's blood alcohol concentrations during its accident fell over the statutory level - that $50 million damages was due $1.3 million less than two month previously - this is Kukarzewski's insurance to put in his home in his daughter - this happened just 5 months after an 11 year marriage was over due a serious automobile collision between 2009 Lexus and 2005 Mercury Cougar that caused extensive head impacts in and at an accident scene -- that trial.
